Project Heimdall

In Project Heimdall, named after the Norse "all seeing" God, students designed and constructed a rocket equipped with cameras and data collection computers. The footage and data collected was used to create a VR experience of the flight.

2018-2019

Project Valhalla

In Project Valhalla, students designed and constructed a rocket with an unorthodox recovery system. During descent, the nose cone detached from the rest of the vehicle, deploying the ARPS (Aerial Recovery parawing-System). This allowed the students to pilot the nose cone to a designated landing point.

Operation Helios

In Operation Helios, students designed and constructed a rocket that measured voltage produced by solar panels. This data was transmitted to a ground station and compared to the control. This allowed the students to see if solar energy production is more efficient at higher altitudes.
